Information involved in a visit

The hosting system may still record the technical request as described above. If you follow a link to the Census Bureau, USGS, or another outside website, your browser contacts that site directly and its own privacy notice applies.

Analytics and advertising
This site loads Umami analytics from stats.kzfm.com to understand page visits and how readers find the maps. The tracker sends visit information to that host, including the page address, page title, referrer, browser language, and screen size. Umami’s tracker documentation describes the default fields it sends. This build does not load a AdSense advertising tag or request ads through page code. Recipients and your rights
The hosting provider processes technical requests to deliver the site, and email providers handle messages sent to us. We do not publish reader correspondence without permission unless the law requires it.
